This 1930”s semi detached home in Toronto’s Beaches area was in desperate need of a major revamp. The bathroom was outdated, none of the bedrooms had adequate storage, the kitchen and living areas needed improvements, windows and doors required replacement, the darkest of the interior spaces needed added or enlarged windows and the large front porch was rotted beyond repair.
Semi detached homes of the era had a single two by four stud and plaster dividing wall. Needless to say sound was a problem. All of these issues were addressed in this comprehensive reno.

Owner Armando Qyrana trained at the respected Industrial School Petro Sota, in Fier, Albania. Upon graduation he developed his skills in home construction working for a variety of companies across Europe before emigrating to Canada. In combination with these skills, he is also a licensed plumber and holds technical certifications in window & door installation, water damage recovery and mold remediation ensuring that he is qualified to oversee every aspect of your project.

Toronto Beaches whole home renovation
1930's Semi brought into the 21st century. Stripped to the studs to allow soundproofing, added storage and all new drywall, trim and floors. Plus exterior reconstruction, with new doors and windows rebuilt to match the original brickwork shape
New enlarged window with proper insulation in main bedroom. During and after construction with entire wall of build-in storage.
New interiors fit for this century family living include triple the storage without enlarging the footprint along with new windows to brighten the space and a completely new, small but functional bathroom.
Luxury condo kitchen
This client's condominium grew in value to such a significant degree that the original "builder grade" cabinets were limiting the value.
While this was a consideration it was simply one more reason to replace the worn and poorly planned cabinets.
Our client could not be without a kitchen for weeks and so we developed a plan in conjunction with the cabinet maker that allowed the project to be completed in a mere eighteen days.
Demolition began when the cabinets were ready. Removal of the old cabinetry took two days, rebuilding bulkheads to accommodate the new cabinet sizes required two days followed by plumbing and wiring modifications, new
The new kitchen had to be confined to the existing space because the major walls were concrete structural elements. This meant engineering every single detail to maximize storage and accommodate new best in class appliances.
Although the footprint changed by only a few centimeters the new cabinets delivered roughly 20% more interior space.
Toronto Kingsway master bathroom
Only a few years old, this master ensuite was decidedly dated and dark.
The leaking shower wall and all the existing wall tile was removed along with the plumbing fixtures. Walls surrounding the tub were prepared for the new large scale porcelain and the old vanity, mirrored wall and storage cabinets were also removed to make way for the new spa like finishes.
The end result of an intensive week's work is a calm, clean, bright and inviting oasis. Significantly improved with high quality fixtures and fittings including a multi-jet shower system, steam generator and wall mounted towel warmer.
A casting from an ancient Greek temple and pieces of original art work add the final touch of luxury.
Major pre and post construction plumbing in a new bathroom
This bathroom was designed to be the utmost in contemporary European style. To make this dream a reality the preconstruction plumbing had to be installed to match the requirements of European toilets.
With joists and studs exposed it was also appropriate to incorporate the necessary wiring for in-floor heating and a wide array of LED lighting.
The completed project reveals no clue as to the level of expertise needed to build this European ensuite spa bathroom
